The 2025 1oz Greyhound of Richmond Gold Coin, continues the collection’s tribute to the enduring emblematic legacy of an illustrious dynasty. The Royal Tudor Beasts range by the Royal Mint honours the heraldic symbols of the Tudor dynasty. Ten Royal Beasts were sculpted in stone to pay homage to the union and lineage of King Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour. 

Following the Tudor Dragon and Queen’s Panther, the seventh bullion coin in this collection from The Royal Mint features the diligent Greyhound of Richmond. Initially adopted by Henry VIII’s grandfather Edmund Tudor, Earl of Richmond, Henry VIII inherited the regal greyhound from Edward III. The Greyhound of Richmond, is associated with the characteristics of loyalty and honour, and was favoured by Henry VIII to underline his paternal heritage and right to rule.

The 2025 1oz Greyhound of Richmond Gold Coin is struck in 999.9 fine gold to bullion standard and is exempt from Capital Gains Tax, making this a popular choice with UK tax-payers and avid coin collectors alike.
