Description
The Royal Tudor Beasts collection by the Royal Mint honours the heraldic symbols of the Tudor dynasty. Ten Royal Beasts were sculpted in stone to pay homage to the union and lineage of King Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour. They reside along the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, and have inspired this bullion series, of which the Queen's Panther is the latest release.
Following the Seymour Unicorn and the Tudor Dragon, the sixth bullion coin in The Royal Tudor Beasts collection from The Royal Mint features the formidable Queen’s Panther.
Bestowed by the king upon his new wife in the hope this ancient symbol would legitimise her position, the beast bears the impaled Arms of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour, underscoring their powerful union.
The reverse of the Queen’s Panther 2025 bullion coin features an intricate design by artist David Lawrence that is accompanied by surface animation that provides the coin with an additional security feature.
The obverse features the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings.
Due to its status as legal tender, the 2025 1oz Royal Tudor Beasts Queen's Panther Gold Coin is Capital Gains Tax exempt, and therefore is a popular choice amoung UK investors.
