On the obverse is an image of the Beijing Temple of Heaven Prayer Hall, lettering which translates as “The People’s Republic of China” and 2023, the year of mintage. Meanwhile, the image on the reverse changes each year. For 2023, the coin shows an intricately crafted image of two giant pandas playing together in their natural habitat. This touching image was designed by Tong Fang and named “accompanying love.”

This 30g gold coin is struck in 999 fine gold and has a face value of 500 Yuan.
