Description
Struck to bullion standard, the 2024 Sovereign Gold Coin by the Royal Mint features His Majesty King Charles III on its obverse. Following on from the Coronation Sovereign released in 2023, the 2024 iteration showcases the uncrowned portrait of His Majesty, by designer Martin Jennings. Meanwhile, the reverse side features Benedetto Pistrucci’s classic St George and the Dragon design.
The Sovereign coin legacy spans more than 500 years and has been associated with many British monarchs throughout its existence. All Sovereigns are struck in 22-carat gold and are exempt from VAT and Capital Gains Tax.
