The 2022 Memorial Sovereign honours the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II; in tribute to Her Late Majesty, Benedetto’s Pistrucci’s classic St George and the Dragon design stands aside for Jody Clark’s intricate reinterpretation of the Royal Arms. Meanwhile the obverse of the coin marks the dawning of a new era for the British monarchy with Martin Jenning’s portrait of King Charles III.
