The American Eagle 1oz Silver Bullion Coin is recognised by many collectors as one of the most identifiable and elegant coins ever created. The eagle depicted on the reverse clutches a scroll with the words 'E Pluribus Unum' (Out of many, one). The Obverse of the American Eagle Silver Bullion Coin features the Walking Liberty image. Designed by Adolph Weinman in 1916, the Walking Liberty was originally created for the Half Dollar. The Silver Eagle is recognised as legal tender in its country of origin at its face value in US dollars. However, its true value is rising in tandem with the price of the precious metal it is made of.
